Birkenhof – Your Breakfast Hotel with Warmth in Rauris

Welcome to the Birkenhof, a family-run breakfast hotel rich in tradition and heartfelt hospitality. Our story dates back to 1958 when my grandparents purchased the former wagon workshop in Rauris and opened a small village shop. With great dedication and foresight, they laid the foundation for what has become our cozy breakfast hotel today.

As early as the 1960s, my grandparents recognized the potential of the growing tourism industry in Rauris. They expanded the business and created guest rooms, which, then as now, represent a relaxing vacation in the mountains. By 1982, the business had grown into a solid foundation that we continue to build upon.

In 1982, my parents, Anneliese and Herbert Lohninger, took over the family business and developed it further. With great attention to detail, the breakfast inn became Pension Lohninger, a place where hospitality was paramount. Many regular guests, who have accompanied us over the years, have become like friends to us.

In 2006, I was honored to take over the house from my parents. Together, we transformed the Birkenhof into a modern and cozy hotel. Since 2010, our hotel offers:

• A welcoming reception and lounge area
